Gluten Free Lavender Lemonade Cake Recipe
I’m calling this spring in a cake! I gathered fresh lemon zest, aromatic lavender and a touch of lemonade mix to make a beautiful dessert that is perfect for any spring occasion like a baby or bridal shower, and even Mother’s Day!
What you’ll need:
Butter: ½ cup, softened
Vanilla extract: 2 teaspoons
Eggs: 3 (or egg white equivalent)
Lemonade mix: 1 tablespoon
Lavender for baking & tea: 1 tablespoon
Step 1: Follow Betty Crocker’s Gluten Free Yellow Cake Mix direction to make your cake batter base.
Step 2: Then, fold in lemon zest.
Step 3: Next, spray coconut oil into two 6×2 inch cake pans and carefully pour half of the cake batter into each pan.
Step 4: Sprinkle lavender on top of each filled pan.
Step 5: Then, bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes.
Step 6: Let cool completely.
Step 7: Then frost with a layer of lemon frosting in between the two cakes and on top.
Step 8: Garnish with lavender and sugar crystals.
