Gluten Free Gingerbread Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe

This is my first attempt at making gingerbread anything and I’m beyond happy with the outcome! This gluten free cupcake has a very warm kick of flavor that pairs well with the lighter-tasting cream cheese frosting.

What you’ll need:

Gluten Free Yellow Cake Mix

3 eggs (or egg whites equivalent)

2 tsp of gluten free vanilla extract

2/3 cups of water

1/2 cup of soft butter

2 tsp of ground ginger

1 tsp of cinnamon

1 tsp of allspice

1/4 tsp of pumpkin pie spice

1/4 tsp of cardamom

Your favorite cream cheese frosting


  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
  2. Follow cake mix  instructions for making the cake batter base
  3. Then, add all of your spices
  4. Mix thoroughly then slowly pour into your cupcake cups using a 1/4 measuring cup to keep them all even and bake for 18-20 minutes
  5. Let cool completely before adding your cream cheese frosting
  6. Garnish with a dust of cinnamon or holiday sprinkles!
